My client is seeking a talented and experienced Building Envelope Unit Manager to lead their exceptional team. This role offers the opportunity to manage cutting-edge projects, collaborate with top industry professionals, and drive innovation in building envelope solutions.

About My Client: My trusted client is a dynamic and rapidly growing engineering and consulting firm with a rich history spanning nearly six decades. Renowned for their expertise in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, building code compliance, and environmental consulting, they boast a team of over 3,800 professionals across 80+ branches in the U.S. Their projects range from transportation and healthcare to commercial, residential, and education, making a significant impact across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unit Management: Lead and manage the building envelope unit, ensuring excellence in project execution, team performance and supporting the units growth.
  • Innovative Consulting: Provide expert consulting and inspection services for building envelope components, including windows, masonry, roofs, curtain walls, and more.
  • Project Management: Oversee project management, from estimating and budgeting to billing and client relationship growth.
  • Creative Solutions: Develop creative and practical solutions to meet clients' needs, ensuring precision and excellence in every project.
  • Business Development: Play a key role in business development, expanding client relationships, and participating in sales and networking activities.
  • Leadership: Manage unit-specific revenues and expenses, and assume Profit & Loss responsibility, demonstrating a strong understanding of department finances.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer preferred/ or ability to obtain
  • RRC or RRO Roofing Affiliation preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in building envelope testing and inspection
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, ADA, OSHA, and IBC regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and a valid Driver’s License.
