General Summary: Lincoln Park Zoo is seeking an energetic, outgoing, detail-oriented individual with a passion for wildlife conservation and fundraising to join the Membership team. Membership Sales Associates will sell memberships, Adopt an Animal packages, collect donations and provide outstanding customer service. Candidates should have sales, fundraising and/or customer service experience, and be driven to meet and exceed individual and team sales goals. Candidates should have strong communication and excellent sales skills, and will serve as a positive representative for the Membership Department and Lincoln Park Zoo. Essential Job Functions:

  • Proactively initiate and close sales of Lincoln Park Zoo memberships and Adopt an Animal packages.
  • Provide guests with appropriate fulfillment materials.
  • Collect general donations.
  • Document donor information as appropriate.
  • Greet guests and respond to zoo-related questions.
  • Set-up and breakdown outdoor kiosk.
  • Document all sales
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Able to interact positively and enthusiastically with visitors.
  • Comfortable approaching individuals to make sales and collect donations.
  • Ability to generate revenue through effective selling techniques.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and apply sound judgement to solve problems.
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, and friendly.
  • Courteous and respectful with team members, other staff, volunteers and zoo visitors.
  • Eager to learn about the zoo’s exhibits, programs, events and conservation projects and share this knowledge to engage guests.
  • Able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be trustworthy and punctual.
Experience Requirements: * Experience in cash handling, sales, fundraising and customer service. Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time and work in all weather conditions.
  • No allergies to plants or animals.
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach as needed to open and close kiosk display.
  • Ability to push kiosk to gates
Additional Requirements: * Proof of COVID vaccine (two or more doses).

Salary: $16.50 per hour plus opportunity for bonuses
