We are seeking an experienced Operations Technician to join our telecom client in Houston, TX . This role requires a strong fiber background , technical expertise in sweep and pin testing , and proficiency in fiber splicing . Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sweep and pin testing to ensure fiber network integrity and performance.
• Conduct fiber splicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance as needed.
• Utilize OTDR testing for fiber optic fault location and analysis (preferred).
• Work closely with field teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and network documentation.
• Maintain and repair fiber networks to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Must be located in Houston, TX .
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred .
• Strong experience in fiber optics , including fiber splicing and network maintenance.
• Proficiency in sweep and pin testing is required.
• OTDR experience is preferred .
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various field environments.
