As a Commercial Relationship Manager, you will play a vital role in expanding our commercial loan portfolio, managing borrower relationships, and providing expert financial solutions to our business members. Your Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Be a Trusted Partner: Build relationships with business owners by being approachable, solutions-driven, and proactive in addressing their financial needs. Take the time to understand their businesses, providing tailored guidance rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • Grow the Commercial Loan Portfolio: Originate, negotiate, and close commercial loan transactions, structuring deals that align with borrower needs and credit policies.
  • Evaluate Financial Health: Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and trends to determine creditworthiness and recommend loan structures.
  • Ensure Compliance & Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage existing loans to maintain credit quality, compliance, and periodic loan reviews.
  • Foster Strong Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with business members, providing tailored financial advice and solutions.
  • Provide Exceptional Member Service: Address business members’ inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless borrowing experience.
  • Drive Business Development: Actively prospect new commercial clients through networking, referrals, and market research to expand lending and deposit portfolios.
  • Cross-Sell Financial Solutions: Identify opportunities to provide treasury management services, loan refinances, and financial planning to deepen member relationships.

Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance (preferred).
  • 5+ years of business lending experience in a bank, credit union, or finance company
  • Ability to assess credit needs, analyze financials, and structure loans in compliance with lending policies.
  • Strong ability to engage with business owners, understand their needs, and provide valuable financial guidance.
  • Proven success in generating new business through networking, prospecting, and referrals.
  • Experience using CRM systems, loan origination platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate across teams.
