Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of high-profile infrastructure and transportation projects. You will lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope. This position offers a chance to work on complex and high-value bridge and highway projects, with opportunities for career advancement within a leading general contracting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and vendors, to execute projects efficiently and effectively. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Project Execution: Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures. Work closely with the finance team to optimize spending and profitability.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, transportation agencies, and consultants. Maintain strong relationships and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contract Management: Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including permitting, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare and present project updates to senior management and clients, providing transparency on key milestones, challenges, and solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in bridge and DOT construction project management, preferably with a top ENR General Contractor.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, high-value transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent credentials are a plus.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 is highly desirable.
