Position: Distribution System Operation Analyst

Location: McDonough, GA or Macon, GA (On-site) Duration: 6-12 months contract-to-hire Pay Rate: $25-28 per hour Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, varying shifts including weekends, overnight, and holidays

Job Description: Southern Company is seeking a Distribution System Operation Analyst to join our team. This role involves monitoring and controlling electrical distribution systems, ensuring efficient and reliable power delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor distribution systems using TCMS, DSCADA, ARMS, and CSS.
• Coordinate and dispatch work, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
• Diagnose and solve complex problems with high accuracy and quality.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent strongly desired; 2-year or 4-year degree is a plus.
• Experience: 1+ years in electrical engineering or related field preferred. Experience in control room operations, dispatching, and rotating shifts is highly desirable.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Other Requirements:

• Must pass a skills test to advance in the selection process.
