Logistics Specialist
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Logistics Specialist role in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is an onsite Logistics Specialist role.

Qualifications:
* Experience working with Microsoft tools like Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Transportation experience such as dispatching, tendering, shipment tracing, 3rd party brokerage or experience in some other closely related transportation role.
* Ability to communicate effectively both inside and outside the organization.

Preferred Skills:
* Experience working with SAP is preferred.
* Experience using a Transportation Management system GPS carrier tracking such as MacroPoint or a similar tool is preferred. Experience working with Smartsheet Tableau is preferred.
* The Logistics Specialist will be asked to track and trace a full truckload, less than truckload, parcel and expedited shipments within the company logistics system to ensure flawless execution of on-time delivery.
* Communication with dedicated fleet carriers, contracted carriers and brokers will happen daily in the form of emails and phone calls.
* The Logistics Specialist will be asked to review claims, complete reports, and complete additional tasks supporting day to day transportation logistics. This position will play a key role in ensuring company dealers and customers receive world class service.
