Front End Software Engineer - Fintech Marketplace

Location: you can either work remotely or in the company's offices in Austin, TX

Work schedule: 60 hours/week

The company is seeking an engineer who is product-minded and will develop a good understanding of the product as well as passion for it. The company's product is a fintech marketplace that is impacting the startup ecosystem and accelerating innovation. It benefits employees of pre-IPO companies as well as investors.

The company has about 12 employees and 3 engineers. It had over $3 mil in revenues in 2024, and is targeting 8 figures in revenue for 2025.

The company will pay up to $175k in salary, plus equity which could be lucrative.

Job Responsibilities:

- Using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

- Building out new products, features, and integrations.

- Helping with the design and implementation of the user interface.

- Architecting robust systems end-to-end to support trading of hundreds of millions of $s.

- Owning all product deliverables.

- Contributing to the culture of the team and helping with hiring.

- Participating in code reviews.

- Continuous integration & automated deployment (multiple times per day).

Qualifications:

- Passion for building awesome products and engineering infrastructure from the ground up.

- Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and systems design.

- Ability to write clean & robust code with a strong testing discipline.

- Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Strong in React.

Nice to have:

- Experience building an entire website/app/product from the ground up.

- A keen eye for design and UX.

- Some backend engineering experience.

- Familiarity with AWS.

- Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.

- Experience with fintech, marketplaces, and/or SaaS.

- Experience as a Lead Engineer or CTO of an early stage startup.
