Job Description

A company in downtown Oklahoma City is looking to add an Escrow Assistant to their team.

The Escrow Assistant is responsible for supporting the escrow team by assisting with the preparation and coordination of real estate transactions. This position requires proficiency with Simplifile, a web-based platform used for electronic document management, e-recording, and settlement processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing and processing escrow transactions for residential and commercial properties.
• Utilize Simplifile to electronically submit documents for recording, ensuring proper filing with the appropriate county authorities.
• Review and verify the accuracy of closing documents, including deeds, title reports, and other required paperwork.
• Maintain communication with clients, lenders, and other parties to obtain necessary documents and ensure smooth transaction progress.
• Prepare and distribute escrow instructions and closing statements for review.
• Manage escrow files, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is in place for timely closing.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with escrow terms and conditions.
• Update Simplifile with transaction details and maintain accurate records of all activities.
• Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to the escrow process.
• Provide general administrative support to escrow officers as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Previous experience in escrow required.
• Proficiency in Simplifile, with a strong understanding of the platform’s features and functionalities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic real estate terminology and processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
