Title: Safety Health & Environmental (SHE) Specialist

Location: MI - Fremont

Duration: 2 months

Tasks:

• Chemical SDS’s backlog
• HIC/HRAW Reviews and Updates
• Cority migration
• Zero Access machine guarding assessments
• Training content development
• Other tasks

On-Site/Remote:

• Approximately 70% on-site, approximately 30% remote

Job Description:

• The Safety Health & Environmental Contractor is responsible for providing support to the Safety Health & Environmental Manager with the implementation and coordination of programs and projects related to Safety Health & Environment. Implement and participate in company Safety Health & Environmental policies, processes, procedures, and training.
• Primary responsibilities:
• Chemical reviews and support system migration
• Hazard evaluations and risk assessments for job tasks and equipment
• Support document management system migration
• Machine guarding assessments
• Safety training content updates and content development
• Provide key support to other Safety Health & Environmental systems as directed

Experience/Background/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Safety Management or other related field
• 2 – 5+ years experience in successfully implementing Safety, Health, and Environmental activities in a manufacturing setting or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• General knowledge of plant operations including production, maintenance, and warehouse
• Understand the safe operation and environmental impacts of equipment and processes
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required along with the ability to be able to communicate with audiences that have a broad range of background and understanding
• Ability to organize and prioritize
