  • Hours – 8am – 5pm (Monday-Friday on-site)

Our Adolescent Psychiatric Day Treatment Clinic, launched in April 2024, is built on 26 years of expertise through our affiliation with LearnWell and Comprehensive Counseling. Located in Newton, MA, our clinic creates a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for adolescents (ages 12–18) dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, trauma, and life transitions. The facility is brand new and boasts large open sun struck rooms, state of the art technology and other building amenities. The milieu area is key or fob entry only to put the safety of our patients and staff at the forefront.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Director to lead our Adolescent Psychiatric Day Treatment Clinic. As the Clinical Director, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing an innovative clinical program while leading a talented multidisciplinary team. Your leadership will ensure our clinic delivers effective, evidence-based care that meets the unique needs of adolescent patients and their families.

This role brings a rewarding opportunity to shape clinical services for a newly established clinic, with the ability to make a lasting difference in the lives of the teens we care for. This location in Newton in a proof of concept in growing the business and those who excel will have an opportunity to grow with the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

  • Develop and implement clinical programs aligned with our mission and client needs.
  • Ensure all clinical services meet applicable regulations and standards of practice.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement based on outcomes.

Team Development

  • Provide leadership and supervision to therapists, counselors, and support staff.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide opportunities for ongoing professional development.
  • Evaluate staff performance and maintain a collaborative, supportive workplace culture.

Collaboration

  • Work with internal departments and external partners to coordinate care effectively.
  • Participate in policy and procedure development to ensure consistent and quality clinical operations.
  • Serve as an advocate for improved access to adolescent mental health services.

Administrative Duties

  • Oversee documentation accuracy and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards.
  • Facilitate communication with managed care organizations to support program goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Massachusetts-licensed LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT .
  • Experience: 5-10+ years in a clinical leadership role within a mental health treatment center or equivalent setting.
  • Skills and Expertise:
  • Knowledge of electronic health records and billing systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Firm understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health care.
  • Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with operational and administrative demands.
  • Experience working with adolescent populations is highly preferred.

Our clinic serves adolescents (ages 12–18) with diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and challenges related to trauma or life transitions. Notably, we do not treat psychosis, schizophrenia, or other major personality disorders, allowing us to focus our care on the adolescents who can benefit most from our structured programs.
