Bilingual Logistic Associate

- Reports To: Logistics Supervisor

- Status: Full-time, Exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- The logistic associate your objective will be to analyze and improve our supply chain's efficiency by meticulously examining historical shipping data, identifying patterns and bottlenecks that hinder timely deliveries, collaborating with transportation teams to evaluate route effectiveness, and proposing alternate routes or modes of transportation to reduce transit times and costs
- The principal goal will be to enhance the overall logistics process (looking and giving follow-up to the vendors), contributing to streamlined operations, reducing expenses, and increasing customer satisfaction by ensuring products reach their destinations promptly and seamlessly. Also, the position needs to ensure payments for all vendors
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Logistics supervisor in the management of quality, costs, and efficiency of the logistics using data to support theories and the need for change
- Analyzing large sets of supply chain and logistics data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that could impact operational efficiency (Direct contact with the vendors)
- Evaluating transportation routes and models to find the most efficient and cost-effective options, considering factors like distance, transit time, and fuel costs
- Maintain KPI to monitor, report, and analyze business activity regarding the performance of the distribution center in terms of quality, delivery, and cost with the following goals in mind:
- Ensure that processes are documented and updated as necessary
- Follow-up, on a daily basis with UPS for Deliveries, claims, and In-transit orders (Late, pending/missing information)
- Streamline efficiencies
- Identifying inefficiencies in logistics processes (end to end) and proposing solutions to streamline operations, reduce delays, and enhance overall workflow
- Maintain and issue weekly and monthly reports, with month-end reports within the 3 business days after month closing
- Book and coordinate with operation teams all import & export shipments
- Create procedures for Import, Export, and weekly schedules for receiving processes
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses of different logistics strategies, helping the company make decisions that balance efficiency and budget constraints
- Create PRs for the vendors according to the invoices received by PMs and Extemporaneous services
- Payment follows up with the Finances department and reviews the POs pending payment
- Evaluating the performance of partners and vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms: Tracking receipt compilation file
- Lease with third-party vendors in relation to the execution of internal office operations regarding vendor selection efficiencies or preferences
- Report to finance all expenses to be accrued in every close month
- Analyzing peak demand periods and planning logistics resources accordingly to ensure smooth operations during periods of high activity
- Ensure the correct creation of all documentation of U.S. Logistics policies and procedures, to ensure efficient and accurate processing of all transactions
- Maintain appropriate stock of office supplies
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- Must have 3 years or more in a distribution or warehouse environment with proven results in business operation efficiency
- Must be able to see the "big picture” and understand the full scope of the operation from end-to-end and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Education:
- High School diploma/ GED required
- BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, etc. preferred

- Excellent conceptual development skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in English. Spanish language skills preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office package
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism regarding handling confidential and time-sensitive information
