Director of Media Relations

This position requires you to be onsite 4 days a week - Monday - Thursday

Position Summary:

Rubenstein Public Relations is seeking an Associate Director, Media Specialist to join our team and lead our media relations efforts. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with key broadcast/radio/print and media extensive media relations and a passion for developing strategic communications programs that deliver measurable results for our clients..

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic media plans for clients across various industries
• Leverage existing relationships with TV/Radio producers, bookers, reporters, influencers, journalists and podcast hosts to secure media placements
• Oversee media outreach across all platforms (TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, online outlets, podcasts)
• Proactively pitch stories. Create specialized target lists for our clients
• Track media placements and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns
• Monitor industry trends and breaking news to capitalize on media opportunities
• Strong knowledge of traditional as well as “out of the box” media
• Liaising with account teams and clients to provide project updates in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of PR agency media experience, with focused expertise in broadcast, print, and digital media relations
• Strong writing skills
• Established relationships with media outlets - print/radio/broadcast
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple assignments simultans
• Proven ability to create media plans from concept and follow through to placement
• Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality

Pay range and compensation package

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $110k - $130k/yr . Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and location.
