What You'll Do:

We’re looking for an Associate to join our RFP team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for the submission of Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and Consultant Database (CDB) entries which promote the products, services, and retention of Principal Asset Management’s prospects and existing clients.

  • Create, coordinate, and maintain submissions for supported clients, consultants, and products. Source, interpret and analyze qualitative and quantitative information for applicability and completeness.
  • Use various tools effectively and efficiently (Responsive, PowerBI, Snowflake, Excel, Seismic, DilligenceVault, etc.) for use in request submissions and data loading.
  • Experience collecting and aggregating data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and raw data files
  • Strong proficiency in creating and manipulating pivot tables, as well as data segmentation and analysis.
  • Liaise with peers, leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and key data teams around the organization to ensure accuracy of submissions and data.
  • Organize and efficiently manage workload. Communicate to business partners including investment staff and distribution on project progress updates.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as requested.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years relevant experience in the financial industry
  • Strong project management, interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of asset management and the ability to learn Principal Asset Management's business, products, and markets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
  • Ability to learn applications, databases, and systems used within the firm
  • Keen attention to detail and data analysis
  • May require fingerprinting with Principal Funds Distributor

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Previous experience in an RFP, Marketing, or Sales capacity, preferably within a financial services or asset management company
  • Holds FINRA Series 7
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $71250 - $95950 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. This role will be based out of our World Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA. This role offers the ability for in-office or three days in-office and two days remote. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
